To be Old Is a Gift Denied by Many
Many people do not realize that being young has its own caveats too, we only reminisce the beautiful memories from the past. In reality, there are less pleasant things that happen during those days too. There were days where you wanted to be older and have different kinds of freedom. We often look back with the knowledge we have today, a hindsight bias.
Nothing in this world can prevent aging. It is the law of nature that we become old as days pass by. Being old is often associated with becoming more susceptible to illnesses, the deterioriation of our mind and physical capabilities, loneliness, and many more. While we are distracted by those things, we forget that becoming old is a gift. We accumulate wisdoms and experiences unlike we were young.
Most importantly, we have the honor to pass the baton to the next generation.
